The Parent Connection Checklist
Build trust with families from the very first interaction
- Be Responsive (Within 24 Hours)
Reply to inquiries by email, phone, or DM quickly.
Set up an auto-reply that lets them know when to expect a follow-up. - Personalize Your Communication
Use the child’s name or parent’s name if provided.
Ask one meaningful question (e.g., “What are you looking for in a care provider?”) - Share Your Unique Story
Highlight what makes your daycare different (philosophy, daily routine, small group size,
etc.).
Include photos or a short welcome video to make it feel personal. - Showcase Parent Trust Signals
Add testimonials or reviews in your email or link to your website.
Mention safety certifications or experience. - Invite a Tour or Virtual Chat
Make scheduling a visit easy—send a link or offer flexible times.
Explain what they’ll see or experience on the tour. - Keep It Simple and Clear
Avoid using industry jargon. Be warm, direct, and clear.
Include your hours, age groups served, availability, and location. - Follow Up Within 2–3 Days
If they haven’t responded, send a gentle follow-up email or text.
Example: “Just checking in to see if you had any questions—I’d love to help!” - Stay Visible
Make sure your social media and website are updated with your latest photos, posts, and
availability.
Pin your inquiry form or booking link in your bio. - Always End with a CTA
Encourage the next step: “Would you like to schedule a visit?” or “I’d love to chat more—
what time works for you?” - Leave Them Feeling Seen
Thank them for considering your daycare.
Express genuine care, not just a sales pitch.
